The Govt senior secondary schools at Unchagaon, Seekri, Mohna & Chandawali upgraded their labs thanks to a donation by the ICICI Foundation in March 2025

This year in March 2025, I was given an opportunity to pitch Tech For All to the ICICI Foundation. They set up computer labs for schools as part of their CSR activities. They liked the fact that Tech For All was focusing on schools in rural India that had limited resources. My objective was to secure funding for four new labs - an IT lab at Unchagoan, and three computer labs at Mohna, Chandawali and Seekri based Government senior secondary schools. Tech For All is grateful that ICICI Foundation agreed to upgrade all four labs and gave each lab ten new desktops, along with computer tables and chairs and a UPS.
The school at Seekri has ~1250 students in classes 6-12, but unfortunately not a single functional computer or a compute lab or a computer teacher. The principal quickly identified a room to renovate and got it whitewashed and spruced up for the brand new furniture and machines.
Mohna and Chandawali have ~250-300 registered students from grades 6 to 12 in their Government schools. While they have a computer lab, the machines were very old and close to non-functional. The principals got the labs tidied up with some fresh paint and are now happily using the new computers along with the brand new furniture.
The school at Unchagaon has a strength of ~1200 students. While the school has a computer lab that Tech For All had set up last year, the IT lab needed new machines. Given the strength of the school and the number of students enrolled in IT courses, there was an urgent need for equipment so that the students were able to benefit from their learnings. The donation of new computers has made a significant difference to the morale of the teacher and the students aside from giving them the much need practical knowledge of their curriculum.
